Ruta gastronómica en el eje Matta Gastronomic route on the Matta axis

Matta y calle Cuevas, la demolición del restorán San Remo para excavar un profundo pique para la construcción de la Línea 3 del Metro dejó un vació de más de 950 m² donde no se puede construir nada pesado. La madera como estructura liviana presenta una alternativa y una solución. El proyecto se plantea como una frontera indefinida, un umbral entre dos lugares formales: la vereda de Av. Matta y una plaza sobre el terreno de la ventilación, dando lugar a un sinnúmero de situaciones cotidianas. Se reconoce el eje Matta Sur como un corredor gastronómico, planteándolo como un lugar de encuentro en torno a la comida pero de carácter público, abierto y flexible. Between Matta Avenue and Cuevas Street, the demolition of the San Remo restaurant for the construction of a deep pit for Line 3 of the Metro left an empty plot of more than 950 sqm incapable of supporting heavy structures. Wood as a light structure presents an alternative and a solution. The project is considered as an indefinite border, a threshold between two formal places: the sidewalk of Matta Avenue and the plaza of the ventilation plot, capable of giving rise to several everyday situations. It recognizes the Matta south axis as a gastronomic corridor, proposing it as a meeting place for dining with an open and flexible public character.
