Debido a la longitud del terreno y con la intención de respetar la escala del barrio, donde conviven edificios de mediana altura con casas de uno y dos pisos, el edificio se divide funcional y formalmente en dos cuerpos independientes. Estos se ubican en torno a un gran vacío central que funciona como el patio de acceso a ambos volúmenes. En el patio se desarrolla un jardín de formas irregulares y ondulantes destinado a la contemplación, con árboles y rocas de distintos tamaños traídas desde el Cajón del Maipo, que se ubican de manera aleatoria tanto en los jardines exteriores del edificio como en el patio central. Con la finalidad de entregar privacidad a los departamentos y controlar el soleamiento, a partir del segundo piso se construye una doble piel en toda la fachada perimetral. Due to the length of the plot and to follow the scale of the neighborhood –where medium-height buildings coexist with single- and double-story houses– the building is functionally and formally divided into two independent volumes, located around a large central void that functions as the entrance patio to both units. The courtyard features a garden of irregular and undulating shapes meant for contemplation, with trees and boulders of different sizes brought from the Maipo River canyon, placed in a random manner both in the exterior gardens of the building and in the central courtyard. With the purpose of sun control and to provide privacy to the apartments, a double skin is built on the entire exterior perimeter facade from the second floor up.
