El cine Tauro es, al igual que otras salas de la época, parte de una edificación mayor que lo contiene, en este caso, el edificio Tauro. Esta edificación quedó inconclusa pues solo se lograron construir la parte del cine y los tres primeros niveles del área de comercio. Este proyecto fue concebido como una edificación con diez pisos de alto además de un sótano y la parte destinada al cine. Bási- camente, el primer nivel está dividido en tres secciones para usos comerciales, cada una con su respectiva área de sótano, además de un hall de distribución que recibe desde el jirón Washington. El segundo y tercer nivel fueron también proyectados para usos de comercio y oficinas, siendo los pisos cuarto al décimo los destinados al uso habitacional y la parte del proyecto que no se llegó a concretar. Estos departamentos presentaban una planta típica en el proyecto original, además de una terraza o roof garden a modo de “décimo primer nivel”. The Tauro movie theater is, like other movie theaters from that time, part of a larger building that contains it, in this case, the Tauro building. This building was left unfinished because only the theater and the first three levels of the commercial area were built. This project was conceived as a ten-story building with a basement and the part intended for the theater. Basically, the first level is divided into three sections for commercial use, each with its respective basement area, in addition to a distribution hall that is accessed from Washington Street. The second and third levels were also designed for commercial and office use, with the fourth to tenth floors designated for residential use and the part of the project that was never completed. These apartments had a typical floor plan in the original project, in addition to a terrace or roof garden as an "eleventh floor".
