pre-injection protocol: pro bright skin treatment

Pre-injection treatment goals: Injections with neuromodulators and dermal fillers can smooth wrinkles, reduce tear troughs, contour the face and much more, but they have little to no effect on the superficial, visual structure of the stratum corneum, i.e. on fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and even pore size. This is exactly where pre-injection treatments with Dermalogica come in. In order to achieve best results, an all-round package consisting of 2 phases is essential: Pre-injection: Optimization of the skin structure BEFORE the injection. Post-injection: The targeted treatment of wrinkles or other indications locally on the individual areas through the injection(s).

What it is: Fade dark spots and reveal brighter skin. This high-intensity treatment combines a brightening peel with electric infusion of professional-grade Vitamin C, Niacinamide and Hexylresorcinol – addressing all pigmentation concerns.

Not suitable for: Extremely sensitive skin, irritated skin, allergy sufferers with tendency to eczema, atopic skin etc.

Treatment series: 3 treatments every 14 days. Last treatment: 14 days before injection.

Post-injection treatment goals:

1. Begin the double cleanse by applying PreCleanse to damp esthetic wipes and wipe over skin to remove debris. 2. Perform a brief Face Mapping skin analysis. 3. Dispense Special Cleansing Gel Cleanser into a cup with Daily Microfoliant and mix with a small amount of water. Apply with a fan masque brush, cleanse and remove. 1. With gloved hands, apply One Step Prep to the skin according to peel mix ratio. 2. Next apply 1-2 layers of UltraBright Peel according to peel mix ratio. 3. Finish by applying the Neutralizing Solution and remove with damp cotton or esthetic wipes.

Side effects may vary per individual depending on which injection material is used, skin type, and external factors involved. However, common side effects include redness, swelling and/or hematoma.

Double Cleanse

Neuromodulators: once the injection is administered, it should remain in place and take effect. Using recommended skincare products will help with potential side effects and the following factors should also be considered: it is important that the skin is not heavily massaged, no strenuous activities are performed, and do not use stimulating devices or perform chemical peel treatments – for the first two weeks – until the injection material has completely “settled.” Dermal Fillers: the same guidelines apply to Dermal Filler injections with Hyaluronic Acid. As a guiding principle, do not perform skincare treatments involving stimulating devices (e.g., radio frequency, microcurrent or ultrasound) or chemical peel treatments in the following weeks post-injection to prevent possible degradation of the injected material. As a best practice: always check with manufacturer guidelines on post-injection requirements and recommendations.
