Distillery Co. have won numerous awards and accolades on the international stage.
First opened in 2016 by Peter Wilkins, a British visual artist, and William Carter, a chef from Newfoundland and Labrador, The Newfoundland Distillery Co. is known around the world for their innovative products that incorporate locally sourced ingredients into their high quality spirits. Peter has always had a passion for food and drink. He has travelled around the world learning how various cultures approach alcoholic beverages while working on a television show with long-time friend and comedian, Dom Joly. After settling in Clarke’s Beach, Peter was approached with the idea of making whisky in Newfoundland. He jumped at the opportunity, and so began The Newfoundland Distillery Co. Today, The Newfoundland Distillery Co. has a full line of spirits as well as a selection of ready-to-drink products. They will soon be releasing the first ever Newfoundland whisky. The process began over three years ago but soon the first ever whisky to be produced commercially from start to finish in Newfoundland and Labrador will be available for purchase at NLC locations across the province. This marks a significant milestone for The Newfoundland Distillery Co. and they are very excited to share their Newfoundland Whisky with their customers.

This whisky, which is made from scratch in Clarke’s Beach, possesses a fine body and lovely texture with hints of oak, butterscotch, almond, leather and green apple for a rounded perfectly balanced finish. This fine whisky will be available at NLC Liquor Stores later this year.
