January 2025 Oracle

I ’ ve always compared the filling up of the Resort to the Swallows Returning to Capistrano. If you don ’ t get the reference “ google ” it. Sometimes some years see lesser amounts return than others, and so be it for this year in the Resort, but you can ’ t blame the weather! By all accounts of veteran Owners, there are more empty lots than the last 5 years. Whether that ’ s related to the US/Canadian dollar exchange rate, the fear of fickle early season weather of the last few years, the political climate of both Canadian and US governments, new City limitations on short term (30 - day) rentals, or other variables is not clear, but I hope it is not a trend that continues. If you ’ re not here yet, I hope I can see you “ fly ” in during the month of January. This season so far is best one weather - wise in the 5 years I ’ ve been privileged to be the General Manager. The strength of the Resort is its culture of enthusiasm, cooperation and celebration. Awaiting you is the emerald green of the grounds, the beautiful annual flowers, upgraded monuments, newly dredged #1 pond, with a new waterfall which will be operational after the first of the year. Please join me at the pickleball or tennis courts, swimming pools, around the golf course, at one of the many social events . . . and even in a “ golf cart conga line ”, as a parade snakes around the streets of the Resort and folks dance during stops in the intersection. Many memories await you and your family at this Oasis . . . I trust to see you “ Out & About! ” Ed Vitrano — General Manager
