I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and although tournament entries are low, spirits are still high and we're all looking forward to the New Year. This January we will continue our usual Tuesday Scrambles and Thursday Best Ball tournaments. We will also have the String Tournament on the 11th, our second Nine and Wine on the 16th, and our 3 Club Tournament on the 25th. There are lots of opportunities to play golf during open tee times as well as participate in our fun and social tournaments. Throughout the month of January, we will have the morning shotgun wave and out afternoon shotgun wave. And as the days become longer, the opportunity for three shotgun waves in one day becomes available. Just a reminder regarding the late entry policy for the tournaments: If you decide you want to, or can, play in a tournament but the 12:00 p.m. deadline the day prior has passed, you will go on a waitlist and can only enter the tournament if A. Someone drops out, and B. There is a team with fewer people than the rest of the field. Just to be clear, this does not apply to the CanAm or the Club Championship. No late entries will be allowed then. Please feel free to stop by the Starter Shack for the tournament calendar or with any questions you may have. See you on the course! Thank you all for a fun month of golf!
Our Golf Committee would like to thank you all for a fun filled couple of months of golf, let us keep the camaraderie going! We are hearing lots of positive feedback on tournaments and open play. It is great watching everyone out there together with a lot of smiles and an occasional “ shoot “ or “ FORE ”. We have a vibrant golf community that thrives on active participation and engagement. We would like to thank Ryln, Golf Coordinator, for trying out new things to make our tournaments flow better and new games for Thursday ’ s now and then, new can be fun if you let it. Members feel motivated to contribute, get involved in the tournaments and support its initiatives. Our strong sense of community ensures a rich and fulfilling golfing experience for all. What a great place to be in. Stableford Tournament This fun - fill twist to the scramble format has us birdie hunting as they were worth 5 points. In this tournament pars, just did not get your team in the money. We had a good turnout for December, and for their efforts everyone got to enjoy a participation award, food. The thing about Golf We all play to have fun and enjoy the day, so do that. I even catch myself seeing things that I might disagree with on the golf course. What? Me! Yes, me too, but I found that it disrupts my own game to spend my time thinking about other players instead of my next shot. Let ’ s all try to be good stewards of our golf course by fixing our divots on the greens and filling craters on the tee box and please keep your golf carts as far away from the greens and tee boxes, as you can safely walk. Tee it up, line it up and keep - up, so we all can enjoy the greatest par three in town.
