UAL - Senior Project Manager

an important part of the major projects delivery team and will lead in the planning and execution of the delivery of all fixtures, fittings, and equipment into the new campuses as well as having an oversight role of both Building Operational Readiness & Relocation workstreams. The post holder will be required to work closely with UAL and College stakeholders ensure a joined up approach to building FF&E fit out, operational readiness and relocation management. Following successful occupation of the building at Stratford, it is anticipated that the post holder will then focus on the delivery of the same for the Elephant and Castle project. This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the world foremost specialist educators in the field of arts and design, and to be part of a small in-house team responsible for the delivery of truly world class new buildings.

Duties and Responsibilities Project Management

• To perform a pro-active leadership role, working collaboratively to foster high morale, innovation, cooperation and an ethos of high quality service delivery • To work closely with the Project Management Office, Construction PM and contractors, key UAL and College stakeholders and specialist consultants to develop a detailed plan of work and programmes for all FF&E and Occupation workstreams • Plan, coordinate and facilitate meetings and workshops ensuring that information and requirements are captured and key outputs are delivered in accordance with the programme • To undertake procurement of, and manage external consultants, contractors and suppliers, ensuring that value for money is obtained and that all procurement is carried out in accordance with UAL financial and procurement policies • To develop a clear and concise stakeholder and communications plan to ensure stakeholders are aware of key dates and requirements for input/engagement • Identify and manage risk throughout all workstreams, inputting into the project risk register and escalating where necessary • To ensure that appropriate change management processes are in place to identify, record and obtain approval for essential changes should these be necessary • To prepare and submit regular reports on progress against programme, budget and briefing objectives • To review, monitor and update the PID and Project Execution Plan(s) as necessary
