Voorhees, Formerly WestRock CEO, Joins Board Of MaterialsXchange According to an article in LBM Journal , MaterialsXchange (MX), the B2B digital marketplace for lumber, panels, and OSB, announced that Steve Voorhees has invested seed capital in MX and joined its Board of Managers. “MaterialsXchange is extremely fortunate to have Steve Voorhees join our team,” said Mike Wisnefski, CEO of Ma- terialsXchange. “Steve is well known for growing com- panies with the passion of an entrepreneur and the de- meanor of an experienced executive. His sage advice and strategic counsel come at the perfect time, MX’s business is ramping, and he will help us achieve explosive growth.” With over 40 years of experience in the adjacent pa- per, packaging, and energy trading businesses, Voorhees brings valuable experience to MaterialsXchange as it pro- gresses forward, the company said in a press release. Most recently, Voorhees was Chief Executive Officer of WestRock, stepping down from that position due to health reasons. Voorhees is Co-Founder of Voorhees Partners. MaterialsXchange is its first investment. “I have been impressed by the value proposition and technology of MaterialsXchange. The MX management team brings highly applicable expertise from the lum- ber, commodity trading, and technology industries. AF&PA Releases June 2021 Boxboard Monthly Report

AF&PA has released its June 2021 Boxboard Monthly re- port: Total boxboard production in June remained essen- tially flat (-0.1 percent) compared to June 2020. It was also essentially flat (-0.2 percent) when compared to the same six months of 2020. The boxboard operating rate was 92.7 percent, down 1.0 points from June 2020 and essentially flat (+0.4 pts.) year-to-date. Additionally: • Solid Bleached Boxboard production in June de- creased eight percent compared to June 2020. It was down four percent when compared to the same six months of 2020. • Recycled Boxboard production in June increased five percent compared to June 2020. It was down one per- cent when compared to the same six months of 2020. • Unbleached Kraft & Gypsum production in June in- creased five percent compared to June 2020. It was
