Michelman Adds Two Associates For EH&S, Regulatory Compliance Cincinnati, Ohio based Michelman has hired two new as- sociates to lead EH&S and Regulatory Compliance and Product Stewardship. Jon Hunter is Michelman’s new Director, Global Envi- ronmental Health & Safety (EH&S), responsible for glob- al EH&S strategic leadership, oversight, and team devel- opment. He has recently been at Harsco Corporation as North American EH&S Director and Global Environmental Director. He has over 20 years of experience leading and managing EH&S at Harsco, Eaton Corporation, Honeywell, and Delphi. Sonia Razzaque has been appointed as the new Vice President of Regulatory Compliance and Product Steward- ship. She will lead the company’s global Regulatory team to assure integration between product regulatory com- pliance, product stewardship, product management, and supply chain. She joins Michelman from Celanese, where she was the Senior Director Global Product Stewardship. Razzaque has spent most of her 20+ year career in regula- tory compliance and product stewardship, including lead- ership roles at Nexeo Solutions, Huntsman Corporation, Americas Styrenics LLC, and The Dow Chemical Company. “Our industry’s acceleration in safety, environmental, and product regulations continues to create a level of un- certainty throughout the entire value chain,” said Jason Wise, Michelman’s Chief Financial & Risk Officer. “Jon and Sonia will lead our global teams to anticipate these chang- es and understand their impact on our associates, custom- ers, suppliers, and other stakeholders. We’re privileged and excited to welcome them to the Michelman team.” De Jong Packaging Group To Acquire Netherlands Mill From DS Smith De Jong Packaging Group has confirmed it is set to ac- quire the De Hoop paper mill in The Netherlands from DS Smith plc. The mill produces 370,000 tons of recycled containerboard per annum and is located in Eerbeek. The acquisition contributes to the growth ambition of De Jong Packaging Group. “The demand for corrugated packaging is accelerating and the acquisition fits in the strategy to be an integrated packaging company,” said Ad Smit, CEO of De Jong Packaging Group. “We are pleased to have reached this agreement for the De Hoop paper mill. De Hoop is a great mill with a lot of potential which we would like to develop.”
