The Lo-Chlor Phosphate Test Kit is specifically designed to accurately test the phosphate level in swimming pool and spa water from 0ppm – 20ppm. Each kit is supplied with a multilingual instructional booklet with pictograms and colour scale to easily identify the correct phosphate levels. There are no special storage conditions required, and every kit provides 70 tests, making easy to use and economical for swimming pool and hot tub owners and engineers. T

PROFESSIONAL TIPS • If algae are present in the pool or spa water the test result may read zero. This is because all the phosphate has been consumed by the algae. It is therefore essential that prior to testing always ensure that all living algae, and algae spores, have been killed. • If the test result is positive (the colour of the vial has turned blue) but shows a result greater than 20ppm you will need to carry out the following steps: a. Add 5ml of distilled water to the 5ml sample already taken and mix by swirling. b. Check the result against the colorimetric chart. c. Multiply the result by a factor of two (2x) to give an accurate reading. d. Always store the kits in cool dry conditions.
