Located in the heart of the Val do Salnés, ATTIS wines is in a privileged setting that brings life to our vineyards. The essence of our wine: authentic, artisanal and Atlantic, stems from the environment that we work in, as well as the traditions and expertise that have been passed down through three generations. Founded by the Fariña fam- ily, brothers, Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña, together with their father and with the support of Jean François Hebrard are the driving force behind Genio Y Figura. Staying true to our philosophy of making great ATLANTIC wines, we show great respect for both our autochthonous products and our traditional values throughout the wine-making process.
In the 1870s, James McArthur settled in the Waikerikeri Valley near Alexandra, where barren land was later transformed into vineyards with the discovery of pure glacial water. Today, McArthur Ridge sits in the heart of Central Otago, one of the world’s most exciting cool-climate wine regions, dedicated to producing Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Established with plantings from 2002–2007 and first vintage in 2006, the vineyards lie on elevated northern slopes of the Alexandra basin, the southernmost Pinot Noir region in the world, where stunning alpine landscapes and a unique climate shape their wines.
