PIZZOLATO VENETO, ITALY

PALADINO DELLE VENEZIE, PUGLIA & ABRUZZO, ITALY

A green winery in the heart of Treviso, Veneto.

Five generations, one passion ... great Italian wines.

Pizzolato is a long family story of parents and children working the land, which is organic by nature, together. It all started in the 1900s, out in the open countryside to the North of Treviso, a land dotted with fruit trees and vines where the air is also organic and so are the soil and the fruits born out of this farming legacy. For Pizzolato, sustainability means consideration, attention, respect. This is a fundamental value of our company that inspires us to develop standards of respect and attention towards the environment, with a long-term thinking. We want to satisfy the needs of the present without compromising the abilities of the next generations to satisfy theirs: this is the meaning of working in a sustainable way! A lesser amount of waste, an eco-label and a cork with low CO2 emissions are some of the moves we are making towards a green future. Pizzolato Prosecco is packaged in a new type of bottle called a “M-USE” bottle. It was created following a sustainable design project, in light glass, whose name embodies a double meaning: it recalls both the inspiring muse of beauty and art and the MULTI-USE that can result after its use. The project supports a winning combination, that of design and the various ways of reusing it and giving it another “dress”, another life.

Vini Rocca has been crafting fine Italian wines since 1880, when Francesco Rocca founded “Vinicola Rocca”. Five generations later the passion for producing wines lives on and Vini Rocca, the maker of Paladino wines, has grown to become one of Italy’s largest and most respected wineries with vineyards in all of the major grape growing areas and an excellent range of premium wines. Recently the family purchased a prestigious farm in Apulia and built a new winery and cellar in Agrate Brianza, 20 kilometres from Milan in northern Italy. The Paladino Pinot Grigio is sourced from vineyards in Delle Venezie and is a straw yellow colour with greenish highlights. Fruity with a delicate perfume of apple and pear it finishes dry and fresh and is perfect with seafood, mixed salads, white meat, light cheese or as an aperitif. The Paladino Sangiovese comes from Puglia and features a lovely profound red purple hue with notes of cherry, plum and subtle spice and a soft, fruity finish. The perfect wine to have with pizza, pasta or grilled game. The Montepulciano shows a lively red colour with purplish nuances. Vinous, fruity character with remarkable notes of berries. Velvety and harmonic taste, aromatic with a good final persistent flavour suitable for grilled meats; excellent with cold cuts and hard cheeses.
