The Anchorage range of wines recalls the bygone era when the mighty steamships plied the River Murray as a crucial link in Australia’s early transport system, frequently dropping anchor to load up with vital supplies. At the turn of the century many producers along the river relied on these powerful vessels to transport wine, fruit, wool and grain to Murray Bridge, South Australia, where it was on-forwarded by rail to capital cities and ports to be exported around the world. The Anchorage range remembers those early days when things moved slower but with greater purpose.
