For 100 years, through five generations of the Angove family and just six Master Distillers, at the heart of the St Agnes Distillery, lies one driving constant; our spirit of excellence, a single minded, distilled determination to make the world’s finest brandy. Every year since 1925, the St Agnes Distillery and Barrels Halls have been carefully and characterfully handcrafting brandy that is a testament to the rewards of time, age, ambition and craft. The original copper pot stills, handcrafted and installed by H. Jennings of Adelaide in 1910, have been used to craft every drop of St Agnes Brandy giving it a unique signature and style. From humble beginnings on the quiet banks of the Murray River, the entire team are noble custodians of a rich history, legacy, and passion for crafting the best Australian brandy that can stand proudly alongside the world’s most renowned Cognacs aged spirits.
Through World Wars, tariffs, trends, raging fires, and ravaging floods, St Agnes has endured, capping bottle after bottle, to create a legacy that has outlasted generations. From a patchwork of modest corrugated iron sheds in a Renmark paddock to the top shelf of the world’s most revered bars and restaurants. Decades of liquid gold reside in the barrel halls, silent, ageing patiently and gracefully before being carefully blended into some of the world’s greatest brandies. As we celebrate our century, the St Agnes Distillery spirit remains truer than ever.As we toast to the past, present, and future, at the heart of St Agnes lies patience, persistence, and an endless pursuit of excellence.
