DENNIS PRUITT TO JOIN GREATER OKLAHOMA CITY CHAMBER AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The Greater Oklahoma City Chamber announced today that Dennis Pruitt, CEcD, will join the organization as senior vice president of economic development. Pruitt will lead the Chamber’s business recruitment and expansion

efforts, economic research, industry sector development and destination retail initiatives. He will also lead the Greater Oklahoma City Partnership, a 10-county regional economic development alliance. Pruitt brings more than 30 years of experience in economic and community development. He most recently served as vice president of business development for the Missouri Partnership, a statewide public-private organization focused on economic growth across urban and rural communities. A recognized leader in economic development, Pruitt is actively involved in the International Economic Development Council and previously chaired its international committee. “We are incredibly fortunate to have a leader of Pruitt’s caliber choose to lead our economic development program,” said Christy Gillenwater, president and CEO of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. “His proven success in business recruitment and development— both domestic and international—combined with his deep understanding of planning and community development will be invaluable to our mission.
