Balancing your Stress Bucket One way to think about your own mental wellbeing, is viewing it as a bucket. Lots of different stressors in our lives contribute to our buckets filling up e.g. university work, relationships, etc. It is important to ensure that your bucket doesn’t overflow as this can be detrimental to your wellbeing. So, we need to make sure we have different types of de-stressors that we can call upon to create more of a balance in our lives. This could be spending some time alone to recharge or meeting up with your friends for coffee - everyone is different. Sometimes, supporting friends can be an added stressor to your own life and can become quite draining. It is important to keep this in mind as you support others, that you are taking the time to do things that you know will also keep your stressors balanced.
