You've got a friend in me: supporting yourself and others

Introduction Talking about mental health can be extremely difficult, there’s a lot of stigma surrounding mental health issues wherever we look – in the media, in our families, maybe in our friendship groups, and within ourselves too. But, just because it’s difficult, it doesn’t mean that it isn’t important – being open and honest about mental health is vital to keeping us all mentally healthy. In this Zine, we explore how to reach out to friends about your own mental health and their mental health, as well as tips you can teach them to help support them. It’s important that we’re there for our friends, but it’s also very important that we look after ourselves too – hopefully this zine can help you find the tools and balance!
