T
AIR SUSPENSIONS
During periodic visual inspections, look for: 1. Damaged mounts and bushings. 2 Damaged dust covers or bodies. 3. Bent or dented shocks. 4. Improper installation such as washers installed backwards. 5. Oil leakage - shocks may have some normal oil misting around the seal area resulting from thermal expansion as the shock warms during operation. If a shock absorber is found to be actually leaking oil in streams, it should be replaced. 6. Damaged air springs (air bags).
Make sure your suspensions are set to the proper ride height.
Never operate your vehicle without air in the air springs and be sure the air suspension is filled fully before operating.
Keep the air spring pistons free of dirt and debris.
Keep the areas around each air spring clear of other vehicle components or items that can contact the rubber air spring bellows.
