Tournament Playoff Day Bocce 2025 Prime Season Tournament is complete. What a journey this has been — 2 months of thrilling matches, strategic plays, and a few chilly nights on the courts. From the eighteen teams that competed, eight teams qualified for the Playoffs. The eight teams were ranked by their total points scored throughout the season. When a tie occurred, the two teams win/loss record decided the final ranking. At the end of the competition, all players met for presentation of awards and a delicious Italian dinner.
Club staff made the decorations and service memorable. So here we go! Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Finals, Awards. Quarterfinals Playoffs were scheduled Saturday, March 1 st . First up at 1 o’clock…

Finals At 4 o’clock, this is the moment! The winner of this match will be champions! To honor the moment, the sun returned, the wind died down, and the courts were ready.

Awards Dinner Rodrigo Gutierrez,, our clubhouse manager, along with Luis Pimentel, food and beverage manager, provided an extraordinary dinner for tournament participants. Italian food, Italian colors on the tables, and very attentive wait staff created a dinner experience enjoyed by all.
Dave White presided over the awards ceremony. His opening remarks acknowledged and thanked the Courts Advisory bocce team for their assistance. Barb Meserve and Ed Gould played key roles in shaping the tournament and supporting its execution. Encouragement and big picture help came from Don Costa – Courts Advisory chairman. Barb Meserve called upon all team captains to stand when she read their name. She noted that captains are fundamental to making the tournament work. They schedule players, keep scores, advise teammates and, in general, keep the tournament moving forward. For their efforts, each team captain was presented a bottle of premium wine.
Ed Gould announced the second-place team – Bellisimo . Beverly St. John is the captain. Her teammates are Cate, Glen, and Jenna Pace, Nancy and Terry Pentz, William St. John, Sandy and Eric Tangeman. Each team member received a specially decorated bottle of premium wine.

And then it was time for the big announcement. The tournament champions are The Rolling Stones . All members of the Stones received gold and black bocce-themed trophies engraved with the name of the tournament. And… On behalf of her teammates Jean-Francois Albert, Monica and David Eade, Jon Marcus, Karen and Curtis Morill, Erin
Olson, Captain Lynda Lane-Albert accepted a First Prize Certificate of $1000 for a team dinner at the club.

Don Costa, Fitness, Wellness and Courts Chairman, concluded the awards ceremonies by introducing the newly established Bocce Perpetual Trophy. The Rolling Stones will be the first engraved plate to be added to the trophy. The completed trophy will be displayed in the trophy case by the Fitness Center,
