64. 1952 Topps #407 Eddie Mathews (RC - HOF) - PSA EX-MT 6
66. 1955 Bowman #202 Mickey Mantle (HOF) - PSA NM 7
The 1952 Topps Eddie Mathews represents the “perfect storm” of postwar baseball cards: a rookie card of a Hall of Famer from the desirable “high number” series of the hobby’s premier postwar issue, condition-sensitive due to being the final card in the set. As a result, higher-grade specimens are extremely difficult to find, and quite valuable. This example has been graded EX-MT 6 by PSA, a sharp and colorful specimen with an unblemished surface. The primary condition flaw relates to top-to-bottom centering; left-to-
Beautiful 1957 Bowman Mickey Mantle, sharp and clean with a strong, colorful image. Centered slightly to the right, the light corner touches keep the card from a higher holder, but the eye appeal is outstanding for the grade. A very underrated early card of the Mick.

right is approximately 60/40. 1952 Topps Mathews cards carry a large premium on the few occasions when higher-grade examples are made publicly available. A spectacularly sharp and clean card from the second series, the final card in Topps’ crowning achievement, the monstrously popular 1952 set.

65. 1954 Topps #128 Hank Aaron (HOF) - PSA EX 5
Colorful well-centered example of the rookie card of Hank Aaron, one of the most popular cards of the 1950s. A 1954 Topps Aaron is by no means scarce - as of this writing PSA has graded 7,233 examples - but its popularity is such that the demand will always exceed the supply. Due to the population, discriminating collectors will look for examples that boast exceptional eye appeal for the grade, a qualification that dramatically reduces the supply. In this case, the card is as nice a PSA 5 as you are likely to find, and
Spectacularly colorful and vivid 1960 Topps Mickey Mantle. Near- perfect centering and rich color, the card is part of one of the hobby’s finest 1960 Topps sets - currently ranked as the #1 1960 Topps Set with Wax Pack on the PSA Set Registry. The set is being broken up as part of our Spring, 2025 auction, and despite the fact that the set is loaded with MINT 9 examples, this PSA 8 Mantle is truly a highlight. Suffice to say that the collector that assembled this set has an extremely discriminating eye, and the wherewithal to upgrade the set’s key cards by acquiring a higher-grade example. This card, however, is the kind of card that transcends the numerical grade, and is more than worthy of inclusion in such a high-end set. Free of virtually all the print flaws common with Topps production of this era, the card is saturated with rich reds, yellows and blacks, all of which contrast brilliantly against its stark, white borders. An outstanding, high grade card, one of the keys to this incredible set.
with a beautiful image set against stark, white borders. The card is well-centered and the corners sharper than one would expect at the EX level. Certainly at the high end of the grade.
