Historic Baseball Photography. Our Spring, 2025 Premier Auction now features the second offering of material from this substantial inheritance collection. With images spanning the 1920’s-50’s, collectors of vintage photography will again find a host of fresh Type I examples documenting four decades of baseball history. The Great Bambino is, of course, well represented, as is Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Rogers Hornsby, and Jimmie Foxx. Other greats like Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Jackie Robinson, and a who’s who of additional baseball luminaries will also be found mixed among this exciting material. Once again, we invite all fans of our National Pastime to enjoy the special section of this catalog dedicated to these photographs, many of which represent the only Type I specimens extant in the hobby.
