Nikos Yanopulos is a children’s book Illustrator and author from Greece. He has illustrated more than 100 books in Greek، Arabic، English and French since 2015. He is the father of two wonderful children with his wife and best friend، who is also an author/illustrator، Christine Mesnard. “When I was driving to a nearby market during the lockdown، I passed a building and noticed that many people were on their balconies. When I looked closer، I realized that all of these people were communicating، trying to spend time together، even from a distance. Children were sending notes with paper airplanes، two ladies were chatting from nearby balconies، and a man was playing music. It all seemed so harmonic and peaceful. COVID-19 may have physically separated us but it didn’t stop people from caring for each other. In this way، it has brought us closer together.”
