Different, Is Tonight

April 1st, 2020 Location: My bedroom window and the Beyond. Tonight is different, I can tell. I am not using my usual writing pen. This one is navy blue, not black, and neither match the color of the sky. My incense in the corner of the room is letting out more fragrance than usual despite the temperature inside my room not changing. A small moth passes in front of my eyes and flutters closely to the lamp on my left. It has been a long time since a moth found its way into my room. A night here can never be close to quiet, but tonight, although I cannot see them from my window, the faraway streets are empty: I hear their quiet. Despite the occasional distant motorcycle roar. I wonder sometimes what these cyclists are in a hurry to at this hour of the night. A game of hopeless chase, I suppose. I usually keep the teabag in my tea, but tonight is different and so will be my tea. The sky is a mixture of dark blue and greyish purple. In a night like this, you would expect the sky to be filled with stars. I can see a few. The midnight breeze put everyone to sleep and tucked themgently in their beds. Curious cat eyes gaze at me from the street below. I have never seen it when the street lights are switched off. I usually see them switched on or already turned off. But tonight is different, I saw them lit, then they fluttered like the eyelids of a sleepy old man, and went to sleep early, like the rest of this place.
