OPTIMUM VISIT

On March 14th, “A Day of Difference”, several representatives and executives of Optimum as well as community leaders visited the Warhawks. Our team members explained the robot’s design process, budget, parts, timeline, and outreach. Optimum has been a sponsor of the Warhawks since 2022. The team has won several distinctions from Optimum including 2022 Innovator Award, 2022 Sustainability Award, and 2024 Excellence in Technology Award.

LEADERS

Mayor Sam Joshi, a JPS alumnus himself, visited us alongside Optimum representatives. Sharing words about robots and STEM interest, he congratulated the team on their recent success and distinctions in the FMA District Event at Seneca High School. Assemblyman Robert J. Several senior executives and Vice-Presidents of Optimum attended. As sponsors of the team, they were familiar with our background. Our team members shared the robot’s creative design, build timeline, and answered several questions about the robots technical aspects. Optimum’s representatives also asked about the team’s outreach and fundraising efforts. Members described our work in FLL -team mentoring and HackJPS. We also explained our recent social media tactics as well as onboarding process for the recently developed Operations subteam. We are thankful to the team at Optimum and local community leaders for visiting us!
