A private “thank you” after a busy day can be just as meaningful as a formal award. WHY RECOGNITION SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST STEP If you’re overwhelmed by the idea of creating an elaborate bonus program, start small. Recognition is the foundation. Once you’ve built a culture of appreciation, you can layer on bonuses or other rewards down the line.
