This year’s offering represents the direction we have worked to build into the Henke Angus program. Our focus is simple: cattle that balance phenotype and genotype and are built to work. We believe good cattle should be sound, functional, productive, and genetically valuable. We have selected our cow herd with an emphasis on the traits that matter both in the pasture and in the breeding program, while never losing sight of the kind of cattle that are pleasing to look at. Leading off the bull offering is Lot 1, Henke Hoss, a son of Henke Honcho. We believe Hoss is the best bull to be produced out of our program to date. He combines the power, structure, balance, performance, and genetic merit we have been working toward, and we are excited about the future he represents for Henke Angus. We are proud of the females and bulls represented in this offering and believe there is something here for both established operations and those looking to build their program for the future.
