the Christian Science faith were ad­ mitted. Strange to say, the Bible Woman was immediately invited in and taken to the bed side of the dying girl tossing and moaning in her intense suf­ fering. The only response in .reply to the Gospel message was, “ There is no hope for me; I’m going out in the dark.” She was too ill for much conversation, so with a comforting word and promise to call again, the Bible Woman turned reluctantly away. “ Prayer changes things,” and the little group of earnest Christians were not forgetting. When, a few days later,' the Bible Woman called again she was as before taken to the bedside of the dying girl. She is so ill now, so restless, so weak, how can she be reached? Jesus’ saving power is presented to her, proved to her by His Word, but when urged to say, “ Jesus, save me,” there is an emphatic, “ I can’t say that.” At last, kneeling beside the
