Post-race endoscopy detected a degree of internal exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage which may have affected the gelding’s performance. A vet clearance will be required prior to racing again. CAUL 01/06/2024 When questioned, app explained that her instructions had been to race handy and that after her mount began well she was neutral, however the tempo in the early stages was solid and her mount ultimately settled further back than intended. she was not disappointed with the performance and in her opinion the gelding may appreciate a step up in distance. Advised by Stewards that in their opinion after beginning well, bearing in mind her instructions, should have made a greater endeavour to hold a forward position in the early stages.
