Job Description

• Identifying sales training needs and requirements across the whole business and submitting plans to the Director of Operations.

Role title: Reports to: Division: Hours: Relationships:

Sales Manager Director of Operations Oxfordshire, Central Support office - with travel across the UK 37.5 / week

• Working closely with our Operational, Financial and Business intelligence teams to enure accurate reporting as per the client’s needs.

Executive Team – The Sales Manager will provide support to the Executive Team. Heads of Operations - The Sales Manager will work closely with each Head of Operation across the Regions to provide sales support to site teams. Marketing – The Sales Manager will work closely with the Marketing Team to develop and implement sales strategies. Site Teams - The Sales Manager will provide support as and when required.

Ad hoc tasks:

Please note that due to the nature of the business and this specific role there are a large number of ad-hoc tasks which occur throughout the year – the JD is not exhaustive.

The nature of the role means that you may be required to work outside of your hours (move in weekends, summer etc). Extensive travel across all of our UK sites will be required,

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the Head of Operations and Marketing Team to develop and implement sales strategies for existing and emerging international markets for every city in which we operate.

• Working closely with the Marketing Team to review and implement sales initiatives and promotional plans for the direct let market and returning students.

• To support the Head of Operations to set sales target per site and to support the on-site local teams to ensure that monthly sales targets are met.

• Identify market opportunities and challenges.

• Ongoing analysis of competitors and pipeline.

• Working with the Director of Operations and Head of Operations to ensure both occupancy and revenue targets are met.

• Working with the Heads of Operations to review current pricing versus our competitors and to maximise revenue potential through dynamic pricing.

• Working with the Head of Operations to present to the Executive Team pricing proposals for the forthcoming academic year.

• Maintain and build relationships with both international and domestic agents.

• Fully own the Agent Management process, from negotiation of commission rates through to execution of payment etc.

• Establishing new relatuonships with key institutional partners, working closely with the Heads of Operations.

• Driving summer occupancy and revenue by building effective relationships with summer schools and language schools etc.

About you

Experience:

• At least 3 years experience in a student accommodation Sales Manager role.

• Experience of driving sales in challenging markets.

• Experience of working with PMS and CRM is a student-led industry.

• Experiece of working with Salesforce and StarRez would be advantageous.

• Experience of producing in depth analysis reports for client interrogation.

• Experience of leading and motivating teams to produce commercial results.

Skills/Ability/Knowledge:

• Personable and approachable to fit with Collegiate AC UK culture and values.

• Effective time management and organisational skills (the role will require prioritisation of multiple projects).

• Abilty to influence customer decsions through sales techniques.

• Knowledge of the PBSA sector is crucial.

• Passionate about driving performance.
