THE FOUR STEPS TO CORRECTLY FITTING SAFETY FOOTWEAR HELP REDUCE WORKPLACE FOOT COMPLAINTS...
In a study of 321 Australian workers that are required to wear safety footwear, 91% of the workers reported a foot issue with 72% of the issues being caused by their safety footwear 1 . Correctly fitting safety footwear can help reduce the majority of the foot complaints in workers. However the process of fitting safety footwear presents a number of unique challenges due to the rigidity of the toecaps. The four steps to ensuring correctly fitted safety footwear are outlined below. 1 MARR, S. J. and QUINE, S. 1993. Shoe concerns and foot problems of wearers of safety footwear.
