2024-2025 UnCruise Adventures Brochure

Small-Ship Experiences Since 1996

Dear Adventurers,

Table of Contents

Every once in a while, life gifts us with stories that weave through our being, becoming a part of who we are and how we see the world. My story, rich with salt air, began in the lush landscapes of Washington State, where boats were not just transportation but gateways to adventure. From a young age, I learned the value of hard work—restoring our wooden tug not just as a project, but as a rite of passage into a life irrevocably tied to the water. My journey through the world of maritime adventure began with the Sea Scouts, where leadership and the love of the sea propelled me from Regional Boatswain to National Boatswain Mate by the age of 16. By 18, I held my Ship Master’s License— answering the call of the ocean that I couldn’t ignore. From the captain’s seat of sightseeing vessels in Glacier Bay, Alaska, to the executive offices of Cruise West, and eventually leading American Safari Cruises through transformation into UnCruise Adventures, my life has been a narrative of exploration and the relentless pursuit of adventure. It’s a journey that has not only taken me across the globe but has allowed me to share this passion with fellow explorers, like you. The honor of being adopted into a native Tlingit tribe stands as a testament to the deep connections formed through a life spent in reverence of nature’s majesty and the diverse cultures that enrich our world. As I share this journey with you in our brochure, it’s more than an invitation to travel; it’s a call to adventure, to discovery, and to understanding. The sea calls, and together, we answer. - Captain Dan Blanchard
