FORMATIVE AND SUMMMATIVE ASSESSMENTS Pre and Post Questionnaire - Learners will be given a pre- and post- questionnaire in a program of study. The pre-questionnaire will evaluate what prior knowledge and skills the learner has brought, and a post-questionnaire will be given to measure what knowledge and skills the learning has gained as a result of participating in the course. Poll Questions – Learners will be given poll questions throughout the course to survey learners and identify trends, commonalities, and divergent points of view about the topic presented throughout the course. Learners will be able to view the results of these poll questions to deepen reflection and engagement through the course. Quizzing – Learners will have an opportunity to take quizzes throughout the course. These quizzes will be short answer, multiple choice and/or true and false. The goal of these quizzes are to evaluate learner’s knowledge and skills on a short. Culminating Assessment- Learners will be given a digital journal or a multiple-choice item assessment that will evaluate mastery at the end of multi- layered course offerings.
Case Studies- Demonstrates learner mastery of principles and assessing of learners’ logic, problem solving, and identifying of key concepts.
Digital Journal – These journals provide the learner on-going reflection through a portfolio of work and artifacts collected throughout the course(s).
