Outdoor Swim (All Ages) Drop-in to enjoy leisure swiming and lane swimming in 25 m lanes. No registration. Deep & Shallow Aquafit & Aqua Zumba (15+ years) Improve cardio and strength in low to zero impact shallow or deep water exercise. Shallow Aqua Zumba includes upbeat music and offers a high-energy, low-impact workout. Floatation belts are provided for deep water classes. Youth 13 - 14 years may participate if accompanied by an adult 19+ years who is also participating in the class. Enjoy access to the all scheduled leisure pool, lap pool and amenities at tacc. The leisure lanes will be shared with swim lessons during lesson times. Pool Etiquette • Everyone must shower with soap before entering the water. Showers are available on-deck and in all change areas. Soap is provided. Learn more at newwestcity.ca/keep-it-fresh • No food is permitted in the pool or change area. • No outside shoes are permitted on the pool deck. • Strollers are permitted in universal change area or in the viewing area, accessible from the lobby. • Children 6 years and under must be accompanied in the water by a capable swimmer 15+ years. Out-of-water supervision of participants is permitted at no cost for children 7+ years. • 3 metre diving board and 5 metre diving platform users must be 7+ years. 1 metre diving board uses 6 years and under must have a caregiver in the water. • Lanes are for length swimming and water running only. Share lanes with other participants, swimming at a similar pace. • Adult hot tub, steam room, and sauna users must be 15+ years.
Public Swim (All Ages) Enjoy access to the leisure pool, lap pool and amenities at tәmәseẃtx w Aquatic and Community Centre. The leisure lanes will be shared with swim lessons during lesson times. • Universal & gendered change areas with private and shared showers, and free lockers. • Leisure pool with 25 m lanes, lazy river, spray features, tot zone and gradual entry. Cycle, Cycle Express Experience a non-impact cardio workout including a variety of indoor cycling intervals and drills. MUSIC SCENE (13 - 18 years) Use our instruments, or bring your own, and play some awesome tunes. All skill levels welcome. Public Skate (All Ages) Enjoy skating with your friends and family of all ages. Children 7 years and under must have a guardian (16+ years) on the ice or in the building supervising. Staff will be on site to assist with skating aids as well as give tips to new skaters. Lap skating only. Hockey sticks and figure skating are not permitted. Activity zones will be offered at the discretion of staff. Children 10 years and under must wear a CSA approved helmet. Helmets are strongly recommended for all skaters. Stick, Puck & Ring This stick ring & puck session is a family oriented program. Participants must have their own stick and puck or ring, and be able to skate independently. Participants 18 years and younger must have a CSA approved helmet with facecage. Participants 19+ years must have a CSA approved helmet. Facecage is strongly recommended. Staff will monitor to ensure the level of play is safe for the abilities of all attendees. No goalies, scrimmages or slap shots will be permitted. Children 7 years and under must have a guardian (16+ years) on the ice. Space is limited (30 participants), Registration is recommended, call or visit newwestcity.ca/skating .
