The University of Law prospectus 2023/24

CONNECTIONS THAT OPEN DOORS We believe that one of the most important steps in starting your career is having the chance to connect with prospective employers. That’s why we seek to create and maintain strong relationships with leading law firms, chambers and business employers, with a view to securing you access to excellent networking opportunities during your studies. YOUR ACADEMIC COACH You will be assigned to an academic coach to mentor you through your studies, they are contactable throughout your course and available to discuss and guide your progress. To make sure you get the best you can from your course and all that we offer, we’ll assign an Academic Coach for regular one- to-one meetings where you can seek advice, build your approach to learning, and discuss your progress and career aspirations. As resident tutors are based on our campuses, they operate an open-door policy, making it easier for you to talk to them when you need to. They are also available online, over the phone or via email.

SPECIALIST TEACHING FOR PROFESSIONAL CAREERS All of our postgraduate tutors are

business professionals, qualified solicitors, academics, barristers or judges. They aim to pass on this experience in their sectors and teach you the skills that they think employers are looking for. We also include training on key transferable techniques throughout your studies. STUDENT JOURNEY ADVISORS Your Student Journey Advisor is your dedicated, named point of contact for advice and guidance before and during your course. They will guide and support you through your journey, ensuring that you have the best possible experience at The University of Law. Your Student Journey Advisor will reach out to you two weeks prior to entry. You can find details of your Student Journey Advisor in the ‘My Key Contacts’ section of the MyULaw app.
