recognising our people who consistently live up to our

SkyCity values: Own it, Share it and Live it.

Consistent dedication, passion, and care for customers,

colleagues, and the business, as well as motivating others

to be their best, are what is celebrated.

Anyone can nominate a fellow workmate or team for an

Individual, Leadership, or Team award.

All nominations are submitted on a QFTB nomination form

and go to the Quest for the Best Committee for

consideration.

Rostering

Rostering

If you work shifts (Rostered employees), your manager or the

Workforce Planning team will provide you with a login for

MyVR and Kronos, two essential rostering tools.

MyVR is used to view rostered work (your schedule) along

with applying for leave and shift changes. Kronos can be

accessed from any device and allows you to view your hours

worked and timesheets in real-time.

To record your time worked, you will need to scan in and out

at the start and end of each shift using the Kronos finger

scanner. Your Manager or the WorkForce Planning team

(workforce.planning@skycity.co.nz) can also answer any

questions you have and guide you towards the MyVR training

that is available.

Social Media & Privacy

Social Media & Privacy

Appropriate behaviour shouldn’t stop when you leave the

workplace. Please be mindful of the impact of comments you

make on social networking sites, especially in the context of

SkyCity.

Ensure any references to SkyCity are not critical of the

company, its business, customers, suppliers, or employees,

and make sure you respect the privacy of our guests.

It is important that all information shared between

guests, employees and suppliers is kept confidential while

you are working at SkyCity and after you leave

employment.

If a member of the news media asks you for comments or

information about SkyCity (either on or offline), you must

refer them to the Communications department by email:

skycitycommunications@skycity.co.nz.

Transport

Transport

SkyCity provides a shuttle service to and from work

between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. for employees working night

shifts and early mornings. Ask your manager to complete

a shuttle request form for you, and then you can use

SkyJourney to book your trips.

SkyCity Auckland also has many public transport options

around it. Visit the Auckland Transport Journey Planner

website to see the latest train and bus details.

For cyclists, secure bike parking and e-bike charging are available at the NZICC car park. For access to the bike cage, please email aklcards@skycity.co.nz.

Uniforms

Uniforms

If you are required to wear a uniform, your manager will

take you to Wardrobe as part of your onboarding. You will

be shown the process for collecting your uniform and

dropping it off.

Your uniform needs to be returned to Wardrobe at the end

of each shift so it can be cleaned and any repairs made. Your

uniform should not be worn off SkyCity property or outside

of your working hours, and you should not use guest

facilities (including bathrooms) when you are in uniform.

Your manager should also explain the dress code for your

department (e.g., what accessories are allowed) and advise

if you are eligible for the SkyCity shoe allowance.

The SkyCity business operates twenty-four hours a day,

seven days a week. As a result, many members of the

SkyCity team do shift work.

If you find yourself struggling with the lack of ZZZs, try to take

a proactive approach to your changing sleep patterns. You

will feel better if you eat well, exercise (if possible), and

optimise your sleep by keeping your bedroom cool and dark.

Minimise interruptions by turning your phone off and

managing family and social pressures.

If you are looking for support, contact the Connect team by
