Back-to-Back Autocross Spectacles
B oth events featured in this month’s issue, the 43rd Mid-America Street Rod Nationals and one week later the 52nd Street Rod Nationals East, hosted NSRA Autocross action. The first stop on the 2026 NSRA Autocross season was Mid- America, and it did not disappoint, starting with great weather all weekend making it the perfect way to spend time at the track. Fast and loud cars and trucks were the main attraction at the East, but we’re also seeing a definite rise in first-time drivers wanting to challenge those cones. A t the 52nd Street Rod Nationals East cars weren’t the only stars. Everybody in attendance had an opportunity to purchase their own star with one-off, unique artwork to admire for years. Over the past 12 years the York “Brush Brigade Panel Jam and Charity Auctions” have raised an impressive $300,000 for Make-A- Topping 300K
Wish. The National Street Rod Association extends our grati- tude to all these talented artists including auctioneer Cassandra
Seth, and every single person who helped make $41,525 for Make-A-Wish at such a great event.
