Ron Yeager of Ron’s Rods built his “Rep/Safety Pick” winning shop truck over the last nine years using a ’52 Chevy cab, a stretched ’84 flatbed chassis, he built the 18-foot ramp deck in house, powered it all with a 350/400, and laid down the PPG Magnificent Orange paint.
We dig on Ron Welshaar’s bitchin’ ’65 Dodge Coronet from Biglerville, PA, with Max Wedge power wearing two fours, a CalTrak improved sus- pension, minitubs, 2001 Ram Red paint, and the pick for “Outstanding Mopar Muscle.”
FatMan Fabrications (now by Southern Rods) spon- sors “Fat Fender Freeway” and they loved Bruce Stump’s sweet little ’37 Ford Slantback sedan that came in from Phoenix, MD, for its “Pick.”
