shoulders and even venereal disease. Incredibly, only one member of the expedition perished, likely from a burst appendix. One of the worst injuries came during the trip home when someone accidentally shot Lewis in the buttocks after likely mistaking him for an elk. Though not seriously wounded, Lewis was forced to spend a few miserable weeks lying on his belly in a canoe while the expedition floated down the Missouri River. No one ever admitted to shooting their leader in the butt.
7. This is not the only misadventure suffered by the intrepid Lewis. In the course of the expedition, Lewis managed to fall off a cliff, poison himself (when tasting mineral samples), spend a night being menaced by bizarre and possibly hallucinatory creatures, and get in a fight with an Indian youth over whether puppies made good eating.

WORKERS’ COMP CORNER
Mileage Reimbursement
Injured workers in Nevada are entitled to mileage reimbursement under certain circumstances.
If an injured worker qualifies for reimbursement, the injured worker must send in mileage reimbursement requests within 60 days of incurring the mileage cost.
An injured worker qualifies for mileage reimbursement if they travel more than 20 miles one way for medical care. An injured worker may also qualify for reimbursement if they travel more than 40 miles in any given week (going to and from medical care).
If you send in mileage reimbursement forms each month, the adjuster only has to process one mileage check a month. It is also easier for you to keep track of what has been reimbursed.
