GRATEFUL FOR 2018... AND FOOTBALL?

Nightly ritual in the Napoleone household, reading and songs before the kids go to bed. It’s about a week before Thanksgiving and tonight I get the bedtime honor. Before we dive into The Little Blue Truck and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom I ask Dom, our 4 year old, and Cora, our 2 year old, “guess what holiday is coming up in a week?!” Dom gives me a less than enthusiastic smirk/side eye and says, “Dad, I don’t even like Thanksgiving. I like things like Halloween and Christmas.” Perfect Dad teaching moment, and I’m ready for it: “Buddy, Thanksgiving is a great holiday where we get to spend time with family, and think about all the things we’re thankful for.” Cora chimes in, “What thankful for?” “Well, thankful means when you appreciate something and you’re grateful…” “What’s grateful?” “Umm, grateful...you know on Thanksgiving there’s a whole bunch of really delicious food and football is on TV all day long!” That’s right. I resorted to the food and football explanation. Now where’s that Chicka Chicka Boom Boom book.

In all seriousness, as the year begins to wind down there are so many different things that we are so grateful for (I promise, I do know the meaning. It was getting late that night, please don’t judge me). First and foremost, we are thankful for our AWESOME team that we get to work with each and every day. We’ve been fortunate enough to have four caring, professional people join our Choice PT team in 2018. Second, we are so appreciative to have had the opportunity to work with each of you reading this newsletter. Having the chance to celebrate in success both in and out of physical therapy is one of the most rewarding parts of our profession. Lastly, we can’t thank you enough for trusting us with the care of your friends and family. We can’t count the number of people that have been recommended to us through word of mouth and there truly is no greater compliment. We wish you the very best as 2018 comes to a close. Cheers to a happy holiday season and a great start to 2019!

Happy Holidays! Joe
