My husband, Dale, and I are starting our eleventh season here at Out Door Resort Palm Springs. We consider this our “winter” home and enjoy many of the amenities and continue to appreciate all of the beauty that surrounds the area.

an upscale RV Resort. He told me his friend and his wife "loved the new lifestyle", and didn't miss the big home and previous "house-based" lifestyle they enjoyed. With "that thought in mind", Roberta and I decided to check it out. We were so impressed by our visit to ORPS that we decided to try something totally new. We started liquidating everything, and sold our home "furnished". We purchased a Motor-coach in NY and lots 317/318 here plus a Motor-yacht with slip in Oceanside Harbor for cooling off on weekends in the summer. We left NY on our 3000 mile "Motor-coach journey" to ORPS early November 2015, and since then have "gotten the feel of Resort RV'ing", and experienced the great "Community here at ORPS"! I immediately joined the newly formed "Marketing Committee" since I wanted to get personally involved at ORPS and use my professional Marketing and Management background to help out here any way that I could. Over the last year I have been an active voice on the Marketing Committee, focusing on practical solutions to improving our 5-Star image even further and reducing the Lots for Sale Inventory we currently have. My Professional Background :1970 -1974 : while attending College, became a rock group Vocalist/ Musician opening for professional acts and performing on stage. 1974-1976 : Bank Officer in Administration (Rome Savings Bank).1976-1981: held four manufacturing management positions for an industrial and retail manufacturer (Revere Copper and Brass). 1981-1991: held six manufacturing and Corporate management positions in a wire and cable (Laribee Wire Mfg Co). CEO/Chairman 2009-2015. 2015, Retired/ relocated to ORPS in November 2015. pledge to employ my full background and experience to fulfilling my duties on the Board of Directors here at ORPS. I look forward to everyone in our community getting to know me and I promise to work hard for "all of you and our great ORPS Community"! I would appreciate your support and vote.

My working background is mainly bookkeeping and of- fice management. My first job was in the billing depart- ment of Pacific Bell Telephone in Sacramento. After moving to San Francisco I worked for Geico Insurance until we started our family. I’ve worked for several com- panies in the Bay area as a bookkeeper and helped start-up a business making printed circuit boards. This company grew into three shops. One in Oregon, one in Washington and the original in California. I oversaw the office operations and managed the office staff in the three areas. My final paying job was as office manager of a large supply company. I also had a bookkeeping service on the side for a few clients. When the Bay area became too crowded for us we found beautiful Foresthill where we built our retirement home. There I became involved with the Foresthill Friendship Club where I served as Secretary for one year and two years as President. This Club has many fund raisers which gives support to many of the needs of Foresthill. During my tenure, I managed and organized many fund-raising events: sponsoring the Annual Fourth of July pie booth, producing a calendar promoting the community of Foresthill, and publishing a cookbook featuring recipes from locals that sold over 500 copies. Here at ORPS I have kept busy volunteering on several committees, Safety and Security, Activities as Secretary, Communications as a Phase Rep and Chair. I was appointed to our Board of Directors for this season to replace a Board member that had resigned. When you volunteer you get to meet many people and I have listened to these friends and neighbors and tried to make their words heard. As a Board member I have continued to do so. This year has been a learning experience of everything that keeps our Resort running smoothly. The Board has been working very hard to update and to bring into current California law our CC&R’s and Rules. I still believe in open communication and teamwork, the Board that I have been working with this season is doing its best to work as a team and communicate openly. With your vote I will continue to work for you.
