Welcome to new boys and staff
Sarah Austin ■ Sarah joins the Junior School having previously taught at Bickley Park School, where she was Year 3 Coordinator. Prior to this, she worked at DulwichCollege,Shanghai as well as The British International School, Shanghai. She studied French and Spanish at Leeds University and then completed her PrimaryPGCEat Kingston University. Sarah has a particular interest in Gaelic football and hockey, where she used to represent Great Britain.
Laura Chelaru ■ Laura is originally from Romania, where she worked as a supply teacher, teaching Romanian, French and Latin. She came to England in 2002 to set up her own business, before re-joining the education sector in 2011. Laura has obtained various teaching qualifications and has enjoyed stints at various schools and nurseries, most recently working at Oakfield Prep. Her passions outside of the classroomare languages, philosophy and Artificial Intelligence. .
James Daly ■ Originally from Reading, James joins the Year 6 team from The Pointer School in Blackheath. Prior to working at The Pointer School, he was teaching Year 5 at Silicon Valley International School in Palo Alto. James studied Economics and Politics at theUniversity of York, and then went to Homerton College, Cambridge to gain his PGCE andMEd. In his spare time, he enjoys running, live music, art and the theatre.
MaxLyonsDonegan ■ Max recently achieved aMastersDegree inSport Science from Coventry Universi ty before joining us in the Junior School as our Graduate Assistant Teacher. He has a real passion for football and has worked in professional football as a Sport Scientist. In addition,Max isaqualifies lifeguard and spent a number of summers working at summer camps in New York for underprivileged youth.
WilliamVaughan ■ William joins the Junior School as our After- school Care Assistant. He has always been a very keen rugby player, representing London Irish Academy followed by London Scottish U20’s, before going to Loughborough University where he recently graduated with a BSc in Sport Science. Growing up on the Isle of Wight, his main hobby is surfing and he tries to get out on his board and catch some waves whenever possible!
