• T Y P E O F I NV E S TME N T Acquisition of immovable property or land with an overall net investment contribution above €500,000 (taxes are not included in the investment threshold). Multiple investments are allowed. • DU R AT I ON The Golden Visa has a duration of 1 year and it can be converted into a Residency Permit. The Residency Permit has an initial duration of 2 years and is renewable for periods of 5 years as long as the investment is maintained. • MOB I L I T Y The Golden Visa / Residency Permit allows unrestricted travel within the Schengen Area. The holder of the Golden Visa / Residency Permit has the right to remain in Spain for an unlimited period of time and in the rest of the Schengen Area for 3 months within a period of 6 months, during the period in which the Golden Visa / Residency Permit is valid. • FAM I LY AND EMP LOYME N T The investors’ spouse (or person with a similar relationship), children under 18 years (and over 18 years if economically dependent) and other dependent ascendants can also obtain the Golden Visa / Residency Permit, thus enabling the entire family to benefit from the scheme. The investor and the beneficiary family members are entitled to work in Spain. • M I N I MUM S TAY No minimum stay in Spain is required during the first year (Golden Visa) or during the further periods of 2 and 5 years (Residency Permit). The investor is not required to travel to Spain and the extension can be made by a representative. However, once the Residency Permit is granted the investor must obtain a Spanish ID card and he / she is required to appear in person to activate the ID card. • ACQU I S I T I ON O F S PAN I S H C I T I Z E N S H I P The Golden Visa / Residency Permit does not automatically entitle the investor to Spanish citizenship but he / she can obtain either permanent residency (independent from the investment) or citizenship if he / she proves effective residence (more than 183 days per year) during the legal period (5 years for permanent residency and 10 years for citizenship). • T I M I NG The Golden Visa applications are processed by the Consulates and granted within 10 days of filing. The Residency Permit applications are processed electronically and granted within a maximum time limit of 20 days from filing.
• T I P O D E I NV E R S I ÓN La adquisición de bienes inmuebles o de terrenos con una contribución total neta por encima de los 500.000 € (tasas no incluidas). Por ejemplo, adquirir una propiedad por 460.000 € más el 10% de tasas hacen un total de 506.000 €, pero el IVA aplicable (46.000 €) no contaría para superar los 500.000 €. Se permiten múltiples inversiones. • V I GE NC I A El Golden Visa tiene una vigencia de 1 año y puede convertirse en permiso de residencia. El permiso de residencia tiene una vigencia inicial de 2 años y es renovable en plazos de 5 años, siempre y cuando se conserve la inversión. • MOV I L I DAD El Golden Visa/permiso de residencia permite el libre tránsito dentro del Espacio Schengen. El titular del Golden Visa/permiso de residencia tiene derecho a permanecer en España durante un tiempo ilimitado, mientras que en el resto del Espacio Schengen solo puede permanecer un tiempo máximo de 3 meses dentro de un plazo de 6 meses, siempre y cuando el Golden Visa/permiso de residencia sea vigente. • FAM I L I A Y OCU PAC I ÓN El cónyuge del inversor (o una persona con una relación similar), los niños menores de 18 años (y mayores de 18 si son económicamente dependientes) y otros ascendientes dependientes también pueden obtener el Golden Visa/permiso de residencia, y así permitir que toda la familia se beneficie de este programa. El inversor y los miembros de la familia beneficiaria tienen derecho a trabajar en España. • E S TANC I A M Í N I MA Para el Golden Visa en España no se requiere una estancia mínima durante el primer año, para el permiso de residencia no se requiere durante los periodos de 2 y 5 años. El inversor no está obligado a viajar a España y la renovación puede hacerla un representante. De todas formas, una vez se conceda el permiso de residencia el inversor deberá obtener la tarjeta de residencia española. Éste deberá presentarse en persona para activar dicha tarjeta. • OBT E NC I ÓN D E L A NAC I ONA L I DAD E S PAÑO L A El Golden Visa/permiso de residencia no otorga al inversor la nacionalidad española de manera automática, aunque puede obtener la residencia permanente (independientemente de la inversión) o la nacionalidad si demuestra una residencia real en el país (más de 183 días por año) durante el periodo legal requerido (5 años para la residencia permanente y 10 años para la nacionalidad).
