Caring Outreach Needs We ask your help to keep the church office informed of folks who might need a caring outreach, especially with the forthcoming winter challenges of weather and isolation. Please let us know of those who are facing grief or a painful anniversary, a medical challenge or hospitalization, a family change or job disruption, a need for rides or for meals or other support during stressful times. Help us keep abreast of those who are homebound or entering facilities who need friendship and connection. Our church has many ways of caring. For instance: Caregiving Deacons – Provide meals, support after surgery or birth, holiday flowers, and encouragement cards. Visitation Deacons – Offer personal visits, phone calls, and cards. Congregational Prayer Group – Prays confidentially each week for shared concerns. Help us care for one another by letting us know when needs arise. Please call our church secretary, Laura, at 814-238-2422 to share the name and need for Pastor Scott and staff to know and for them to share confidentially with the appropriate caring outreach. Thank you.
Do you know a Recent High School Graduate? The deacons are planning outreach to recent high school graduates. Our goal is to let them know that we are praying for them and to offer encouragement and connection to the State College Presbyterian Church family. Thanks to CAYAM, we have a great start to our list of graduates, but we need your help to ensure we have a complete list. Do you know someone who has graduated from high school in the past few years? They may be in college, the military, launching a career, or seeking other ways to reach their goals. If so, please send their name to Laura in the Church Office at officescpc@gmail.com , and we will reach out to the graduate for more information. Thank you for your help in this outreach.
