MORE FROM THE CHURCH
2026 OPERATING FUND CAMPAIGN The days are getting shorter. Temperatures are falling, along with the leaves. We are transitioning from summer to a period that we know will be different. This changing season also marks the time when we at SCPC conducts our funding campaign for the coming year. Most of us have already received the initial letter announcing the campaign, and asking that we prayerfully consider how much we can provide in support of our church and its various program offerings for 2026. I encourage you to look at this as an opportunity. Our Financial Affairs Committee (FAC) is tasked with, among other things, developing an operating budget – creating a roadmap for both how much and how the dollars we provide will be spent. How much there will be to spend is determined by our collective levels of giving, also known as anticipated income. This can be more accurately estimated by the FAC if we complete a pledge card, which indicates how much we plan to contribute on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis, or in a lump sum payment. This, in turn, allows for a more precise distribution of the dollars to the many areas of the church operations where expenses occur. Through the sacrament of Communion, we are invited to Christ’s Table. This serves as a constant reminder of the sacrifice Jesus made for us. It is up to each and every one of us to ensure that this opportunity continues to be available to us and to those who follow us in the future. Shalom, and may you be richly blessed for all that you do in His Name. Ken Manno Chair, Generosity Committee
