Land Management This week staff conducted multiple exotic/invasive vegetation treatments across the county. Multiple species were treated including old world climbing fern, cogon grass and melaleuca. Additional treatments of guinea grass were executed at Amberjack Environmental Park total acreage treated is approximately 5 acres. Habitat restoration operations were initiated at Tippecanoe Environmental Park. Operations including overstory reduction and mulching. Approximately 9 acres were mulched. County staff also conducted the first educational outreach event of the fiscal year at Rotunda West community. The subject of the discussion was alligators. Robert Pasquali led the discussion with nearly 100 people in attendance or joining online via zoom. Multiple discussions are scheduled in the coming months.
