Punta Gorda Charlotte Library
Last week was full of creativity, community spirit, and festive fun.
At Toddler Craft, little ones made painted pumpkin patches using apples, while at Cooper Street Recreation Center, participants adopted ghosts, painted jack-o’-lantern rocks, and created wax-resist watercolor pumpkins. Even Ms. Liz faced her fear of spiders with a special spider-themed storytime — though she’s still not convinced spiders are friendly! The Punta Gorda Charlotte Library hosted the City of Punta Gorda’s Fall Festival, where families enjoyed trick-or-treating with local nonprofits, bounce houses, games, and delicious treats — including free hotdogs, hamburgers, and ice cream, courtesy of community partners. To wrap up the week, guests boarded the Murder on the Continental Express during our third murder mystery event. Inspired by Agatha Christie’s classic, the evening was filled with suspense, laughter, and great company. A huge thank-you to our dedicated staff and volunteers for making it all possible!
