Remembrance Day weekend impaired case A Navan man lost the use of his vehicle for a week after police charged him with impaired driving over the Nov. 11 weekend. Alex Plouffe, 25, of Navan, was charged with impaired driving and with driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 80 milligrams. The charges resulted from Russell County OPP investigation of a Nov. 12 call, late in the evening, about a traffic problem on Highway 417. Plouffe’s vehicle was impounded for seven days. He is scheduled for the Dec. 7 provincial court ses- sion in L’Orignal. A domestic incident call on Nov. 10 has resulted in the arrest of a 17-year-old girl from St-Isidore on a public mischief charge. Her name is withheld under the guidelines of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.A radar stopcheck on County Road 17, on Nov. 9, resulted in the arrest of an Alfred man. Christian Prévost Côté, 28, was arrested and charged with driving while his licence was suspended and also with speeding. He is scheduled for the Dec. 1 provincial court session in L’Orignal.
