Theimportanceofrigorous,scientifictesting shouldn’tbeunderestimated.Measurements areindispensableinaudio,andtheteam gathersavastamountofdatatoestimate therangeofuseofadriver. Butexperiencedearsarestilcriticaltothe endproduct:Twoequalyflatcurvesmade withdiferentcrosovertopologiescould soundquitediferent–here,theengineer’s expertiseisamajorpartofasucesful speaker. Dynaudio’sR&Dteam mightlamentthatthey’renot alowedtotestforever,constantlywhitling,refining, testingandrepeatinguntiltheprocesyieldsaspeaker thatproducesdetailseventhemostdetail-oriented producerwouldneverimagine.Buttheirlos isour gain,withsomeofthemostacurate,thrilingspeakers inyearsrolingoutofthefacility. Intheearsofourengineers,nothingwileverbe perfect – but Jupiter alows Dynaudio to get breathtakinglyclose.
