The Post-Construction Manager will join our expanding Asset Management team to deliver effective management of defects such that UPP achieves its aims and strategic priorities. The post holder will support the Post-Construction Services Director in the successful delivery of the post-construction phase (defects liability period and latent defects resolution and management) of projects and to represent the SPV’s interests in these matters. With a remit for the UPP portfolio based across the south of the UK, the Post-Construction Manager will take the lead role in the effective resolution of reactive issues following practical completion whilst also developing and implementing strategies for the proactive management of defects for the duration of the defect liability period and beyond. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of working on the post-construction stages of large scale construction projects married with a strong technical and commercial understanding of post-construction defect management, aftercare and contractual obligations. A technical understanding of how design & build is administered would be advantageous, as would experience gained on projects in the student accommodation or residential sectors. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of personal and professional credibility, as a key aspect of the role is the capability to work successfully with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
